The Whole Truth

I need to fess up and show you the kind of photographs I normally get when trying to get good snapshots of the birds that come to my small garden:

Bluebird

Cardinal

Sparrow
And with apologies to Sir Mix-A-Lot:

"I like bird butts and I can not lie"

They're still pretty from behind though! At least yours are in focus and a reasonable size. My bird pictures are just tiny blurred blobs! I'd be thrilled with these!

I take front or back sides photographs, either way works for me ;-)

I too have lots of photos of birds' rear ends!! I am very, very envious of the woodpecker in your previous post. We've had lots of little birds, but no woodpecker (yet!!).

Dan: I think my Panasonic Lumix is my secret weapon for the good pictures. It is really under the radar screen as far as advertising, etc., but takes terrific photos and costs less than a comparable Nikon or Canon.

Anyes; I'm with you. I'm just greatful for what I can get.

Anne: Maybe the woodpeckers will show up with all this snow you all are getting over there?

Rachel: I do love the cardinals and the bluebirds along with my little brown jobs.

Di: It is so neat to see the cardinals especially when the weather is gray and overcast. The bluebirds are an infrequent visitor.
