Sunday Sunrise

Instead of a sunset, today I'm posting a picture of the first sunrise of 2012 in order to celebrate New Year's Day. The day is promised to be sunny and warm (62F in January!), so I will try to make the most of it before Monday's blast of Canadian cold.

May 2012 bring peace, happiness and joy to all!

And to you too!

Interesting that you blame Canada for icy blasts - we tend to blame Siberia! Either way, they can be generous about sharing.....

Wishing you a good, healthy year and looking forward to more of your wonderful photographs!

A beautiful morning sky. Ours was the dullest grey.

Sunrise/sunset...I can usually count on a good one from NC!

Here's to another 365.

Rachel: Would you believe that the Northwest US gets its cold weather via the Siberian Express, too? Our very, very cold weather comes courtesy of the Alberta Clipper.

Carolina: It will be peaceful as long as I keep the TV turned off this summer; its our presidential election year.

DW: And to you too. I love your stories about the New Forest and look forward to more in 2012.

Di: Thank you. I can't say that I enjoy getting up early to catch the sunrise - sunsets are more my thing.

Chantal: Thank you so much! Happy 2012 to you.
